Silver Plate Rogers

The listing is for an aesthetic silver plate frame, manufactured by Wm. Rogers Silver Company and a cranberry thumbprint glass pickle caster insert. The frame features a floral design on each side and a swing handle which can be raised to stay in the upright position of folded down. The insert features a thumbprint design on cranberry glass. Condition: The silver plate frame is in good condition as shown. There are no monograms, dents or visible repairs. The cranberry glass insert is also in good condition with no discoloration to the glass. There are no chips or cracks to the glass and only a flea bite to the top rim as shown in pictures 8 and 11. The cover is not original to the glass insert. Size: It stands about 10 inches tall and measures 6.5 inches wide at the widest point. Set of antique cranberry glass shakers and a salt cellar on a Rogers & Bro. The shakers date to the same time period and have pewter two-piece tops, a cylinder shape with a small shoulder. They stand about 3 1/2 each. One has a thumbprint pattern (outside) while the other has an inverted thumbprint (IVT). The salt cellar is a small oval shape and appears to be ruby glass. The stand is stamped with the Rogers & Bro. Makers’ mark and “Triple Plate” plus 3832. The stand has a simple round handle and beautiful metal work on the three compartments for the glass inserts. It also sits on three very small swans as feet, which is a great touch. Was formed in Waterbury, CT in 1858 by Asa Jr. It became part of the International Silver Company in 1898.
