The chest is in good shape, the hinges are strong, the wood looks decent, please see pics. The blue felt is clean and vibrant and the white accordioned fabric behind the knives looks pretty good, like a movie theater. These handmade boxes are a work of art! The set comes from an estate sale and pieces have not been polished – I leave the patina preference to the purchaser, but they are in pretty good condition, tucked away safely in their anti tarnish box. Nice service for eight produced by Rogers in the Daffodil pattern during the 1950s. This set is in very good estate found used condition. No wear to the silver plate is evident. There are three master knives – one is Daffodil and the other two do not match. Consists of the following pieces. 8 – Modern Hollow Knives – 9 1/2. 8 – Dinner Forks. 8 – Individual Salad Forks. 15 – Teaspoons. 8 – Round Bowl Soup Spoon (Gumbo). One Sugar Spoon – 5 3/4. Two Tablespoons – 8 1/2 long.
