This is a 48-piece 1847 Rogers Bros silver-plated “Remembrance” flatware set for 8. This was one of the more popular silver-plated flatware patterns of all time. With a rather traditional design, it is simple yet quite elegant, and can be use for formal or casual entertaining. The silver pieces of this set are just pretty. 8 round soup spoons. 2 cocktail / olive forks. And 1 master butter spreader. There are plenty of additional pieces available online, for the collector or builder of sets. The wooden case is 14.5″ x 10.5″ x 2.75, and has a tarnish-resistant velvet interior lining.

You get all the items you see in the pictures. This item is in mint condition and shows only signs of sitting in a chest and is unused and are in wonderful shape. Comes in original 1847 Rogers flatware chest. 10 dinner knives, app. 9 3/8 inches long. 10 dinner forks, app. 7 1/2 inches long. 10 salad forks, app. 6 3/4 inches long. 8 soup spoons, app. 7 1/4 inches long. 18 teaspoons, app. 6 1/8 inches long. 8 butter spreaders, app. 4 serving spoons, app. 8 1/2 inches long (1 pierced); 1 solid spoon shows plating wear. 1 meat serving fork, app. 8 7/8 inches long. 1 tomato server, app. 1 small ladle, app. 1 sugar spoon, app. 5 3/4 inches long. 1 master butter knife, app. 1 whipped cream spoon/server, app. 6 1/4 inches long. 1 pickle fork, app. Very good condition – minor wear from use (1 exception noted in description); see all 10 pics. Vintage 1847 Rogers Bros Remembrance 9898 Silver Plated Serving Platter Tray with “J” Monogram. Circa Mid 20th Century. Measurements: 1″ H x 28.5″ W x 17 D.
