Vintage 1847 Rogers Bros Daffodil silverplate flatware set, made by International Silver. Daffodil was introduced in 1950 and features a beautiful raised floral design. (a brand of the International Silver Company). Silver-plated metal (silverplate) rather than solid sterling silver. Butter knives: 8 (9.5). Tea spoons: 16 (6 1/8). Large spoons: 8 (7 1/4). Dinner forks: 8 (7.5). Salad forks: 8 (6 3/4).
In this beautiful silverware set comes with 69 pieces of silverware and the wooden case the wooden case has some damage on it showing in the pictures. Some are tarnished and will need to be polished.
This is a very nice set of vintage Wm. Rogers & Sons IS International Silver flatware. The pattern is ” Exquisite “. They have intricate handle details like fleur-de-lis and floral blossoms showing a subtle Art deco influence. They have a mirror finish and in very nice condition. It is silver-plated and comes in the original wood chest box which is also in excellent condition. The original certificate is also in the box and it has a date of May 5, 1944 on it. These haven’t been used for years, only stored in a clean dry environment inside the chest. There are 50 pieces here with the following individual pieces included. They are all marked on the back and some have a little tarnishing, which can be shined up. 8 – Modern Hollow Grille Knife – 8 1/2. 16 – Teaspoons – 6 1/8. 8 – Round Bowl Soup Spoons – 6 5/8. 8 – Grille Fork – 7 3/4. 8 – Individual Salad Fork – 6 3/4. 2 – Tablespoon Serving Spoon – 8 3/8. It is an elegant vintage pattern from the World War II era that bridges the gap between older ornate styles and the emerging modern aesthetics, making it a mid-century piece. This is an exceptional 63 Piece Rogers Brothers’1847′ Flatware Set. It is Silver Plate, but as you can see, the pieces are in great condition, and actually look more like Sterling Silver. They are in the Original Felt Lined Box.
