This is a lovely set of Oneida Wm A Rogers OVERLAID silver-plated flatware in the Countess I Baroness pattern, circa 1929. It is in the Art Deco style and was made in the United States. Overlaid means there was extra silver added to make the silver-plate more durable. It includes service for eight: 8 dinner knives, 8 dinner forks, 8 pie/salad forks, 8 teaspoons, 8 soup spoons, 1 butter knife and 1 sugar spoon (42 pieces). Also included are two pieces with different patterns, as shown in photo 6. The identification marks of these two pieces are shown in photos 7 and 8. The slotted spoon is marked International Silver, and the fork is marked Holmes & Edwards IS. So there is a total of 44 pieces altogether. Comes with the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) and the original case, which looks like mahogany wood. The bottom of the case is worn as shown in the last photo. But the case is very sturdy. This case was made to hold 12 knives, or service for 12, but I believe the same case was also used for service for 8, or 8 knives. Nice set for the collector or someone just starting out who wants to use vintage items.

The Flatware consists of the following pieces. The flatware has normal wear from age basically surface scratches and some very minimal tarnish around the flower patterns. The tarnish free chest has normal wear to the exterior (interior is pretty clean) mainly scuffs, dings, and scratches to the finish. PLEASE SEE THE PHOTOS FOR CONTENT AND CONDITION.
I don’t know a lot about this stuff but I know there are add on pieces including ice cream spoons/sporks. There are eight big Spoons, 16 tablespoons, 13 teaspoons, two very big serving spoons, one small ladle, one sugar spoon, three grapefruit Spoons, six ice cream spoons, 12 forks, 12 knives, two meat forks. The site appears to have no major damage and I would say they are in good condition and would eat off of these pieces myself. It could use a polish and I apologize. I don’t have the time to do it. I did go through the pieces and took a quick visual and didn’t see anything like gouges or green spots. For usable and eating condition and being over 100 years old I think it’s pretty good!!! Please bear with me as I voice texted most of this and have many items to go through and post. Please feel free to ask any questions.

This set of flatware is from the William Rogers Manufacturing Company International Silver Co. It contains 63 pieces and serves six. The pattern is known as both “Magnolia” and “Inspiration”. This flatware is silverplate, meaning it’s a base metal with a layer of genuine silver. The pattern was introduced in 1951 and was subsequently discontinued. Condition: Very good (as a vintage item, pieces may show signs of use, such as scuffs and scratches, consistent with pre-owned flatware) – see photos.
