I try to make it as cheap as possible with box size but I have had a couple of recent items damaged. So I will use bigger boxes and double box when possible. I had the pleasure of attending a private estate sale in Moraga Estates, which is a gated community in the hills of Bel Air, CA. This is from the estate of a prosperous philanthropic family. The designer of the 8,000 sq ft home was noted architect and designer Cleo Baldon (the house was furnished by Cleo’s classic and iconic furniture) whose brother and sister in law were the home owners. They had an amazing collection of napkin ring holders and this is one. An antique Victorian silver plate napkin ring from Rogers Smith Meridian Silver Co. Unusual, it depicts two little boys with their arms raised holding the diamond shaped napkin ring with ornate designs and pierced edges. It is on a square base with four ball feet and it has a monogram of LMD. It is in nice condition except for needing polishing. Measures about 3″ tall x 3 1/4″ x 2 1/4 and weighs 5.6 oz before packing. They had an amazing collection of napkin ring holders, Asian art, jewelry and modern art. Excellent pre owned /used condition considering age with normal wear and tear. Items I sell are not new. They have been used so do not expect mint condition unless otherwise noted. The Antique Condiment Holder is a beautifully crafted silver plate piece from Rogers Smith & Co, dating back to circa 1880. Antique 1868 Rogers & Smith Co. Engraved Silver Plate Insulated Pitcher. This is a very ornate pitcher in very good condition considering it is over 150 years old. The silver plate is in excellent condition with no areas that have worn thin over time. It has a number of dings and dents. There is one under the spout, around 5 or 6 on one side and small dent on the opposite side. The rim has a few bends and some dings along the edge. The lid is dented on one side and the finial on top is slightly bent as if it was dropped and landed on its head. It is also missing the pin that creates the hinge for the lid. The lid has Birthday Club engraved into it. Both sides are intricately engraved with a floral pattern of wheat, daisies and leaves. The interior is lined with a porcelain enameled metal that creates an air pocket as an insulator. The bottom is stamped with Rogers & Smith Co. Dates, June 13, 1868 and Nov. 3D, 1868 along with the number 193. It’s about 12″ high, 10 1/2″ from handle to spout and 6 1/2 in diameter at the base. It’s heavy, weighing 5 1/2 lbs.

Original glass inserts with etched flowers on sides. Set is partially polished. There is some plate loss through the piece, as you can see in photos. Monogrammed on both narrow ends. Metal carrier measures approximately 11″ tall to the top of handle x 9″ wide x 4-5/8 deep. Glass inserts measure approximately 6″ tall x 3-1/8″ diameter. Several areas of loss to the plating. One small chip to the underside edge of one of the glass inserts. See all photos for best judgement.

THE TEA/COFFE POT HAS TWO AREAS WHERE THE PLATE HAS BEEN PUSHED IN, HIT OR DROPPED. THE OTHER TWO PIECES SHOW NO DINGES. THE PEACOCK FEATHER IS VERY UNIGUE AND COULD BE A RARE PATTERN. THERE WERE A LOT OF PEACOCK ART INTEREST IN THE EARLY 1900′S. THE SET WAS AN ESTATE FIND AND COULD FIND OUT NO OTHER INFORMATION REGARDING THE SET.
