Silver Plate Rogers

This is a 1926 antique Victorian relish, caviar or sugar serving castor made by Rogers Silver Co. Pieces like this are hard to find! The bottom of the silver lid has Rogers Silver 1926. The castor features a stunning thumbprint blue glass insert. The silver plate, handled base has intricate designs throughout, from the shelled feet to the egret/stork adorned legs. The floral ivy decorated rim has notches for 12 spoons (not included). As can be seen in the pictures, this piece is in excellent condition for its age. As to be expected, there are a few tiny chips and flea bites on the rim of the insert, but they do not detract from the beauty of this piece, as the lid covers them. Some use similar pieces as covered sugars. So, whether you intend to use it for either relish or sugar or decide to simply display it, it’s sure to be a showstopper. Victorian Silver Plate Castor Set 6 Glass Cruets Jars Spoon Antique Rogers Bros. Revolving lazy susan with holes for 6 cruets, jars, bottles, etc. Lazy susan is etched with lovely fans, scrolls, leaves, & flowers. Stands on a tall pedestal with filagree handle. Glassware all matches & is etched with flowers & garlands of leaves. 3 cruets with the original stoppers. 2 oil jars or shakers. 1 condiment jar (for ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise). Coindiment jar has a hinged lid & comes with the original serving spoon. Rogers Brothers Meridan Ct. 8″ diameter x 19″ tall. Cruets are 9 1/2 tall. Oil jars/shakers are 8 tall. Condiment jar is 6 tall. Used – AS IS CONDITION. Silver is tarnished & needs polishing. A few small dents in the silver case. Jars & cruets need cleaning. Cruets have the original stoppers. A 1/8 ding in the glass on the top of 1 cruet, but the glass is all there. 1 bottle & the jar have cracks in the glass on the bottoms (see photos). Jar also has a small piece of missing glass. We are listing a very pretty and unusual victorian antique silverplate center piece with a angel / cherub horn of plenty figure. This was made by the rogers bros silver co. This has the original horn decoration. This is very dirty and needs a very good polishing job. There are remains of old silver polish in a few spots. There is no damage to the castings. You could use this for other things, display pedestal, jewelry shelf or a business card holder. The size is 10 tall to the top of the horn. Width and depth is 9 by 9.
