VTG FB Rogers Silver Plated Condiment Wagon. This item is a vintage F. Rogers Silver Company silver-plated condiment wagon (specifically Model #517), which typically dates from the early to mid-20th century. It holds to plastic bowls. I’m assuming the glass bowls were replaced with plastic at some point. All in excellent condition. Many of these rolling carts feature a hallmark on the bottom stamped with “1883″ alongside their crown, shield, and lion logo. Function: It is a rolling table caddy designed to hold two glass inserts. This specific cart hold plastic bowls. It was historically used on dining tables to serve small side dishes, relish, jams, nuts, or condiments. The wheeled carriage and extended handle allowed hosts to easily roll and pass the condiments across the table. Composition: The base frame and wheels are made of silver-plated metal. No cancellations so please consider carefully before purchasing.
