Silver Plate Rogers

Set of antique cranberry glass shakers and a salt cellar on a Rogers & Bro. The shakers date to the same time period and have pewter two-piece tops, a cylinder shape with a small shoulder. They stand about 3 1/2 each. One has a thumbprint pattern (outside) while the other has an inverted thumbprint (IVT). The salt cellar is a small oval shape and appears to be ruby glass. The stand is stamped with the Rogers & Bro. Makers’ mark and “Triple Plate” plus 3832. The stand has a simple round handle and beautiful metal work on the three compartments for the glass inserts. It also sits on three very small swans as feet, which is a great touch. Was formed in Waterbury, CT in 1858 by Asa Jr. It became part of the International Silver Company in 1898.

A heavy over-the-top teapot by Rogers Bros. That epitomizes the angularity and highly decorated objects of the Victorian era. The body of the large, heavy pot is decorated with etched floral bouquet, with the name “Boynton” etched on the front panel on one side. The teapot has a very pronounced spout extending from the lower quarter of the body. The handle has two round discs which separate the handle from the heat. This allows the hot teapot to be picked up comfortably when hot, without burning your hands. The lid is topped by a tall, round finial. The body rests on four elaborate disc feet and rests flat on a surface. The pot could be used for pouring either coffee or tea, but was likely intended for tea. It does have a mesh covering the entrance of the spout to prevent tea leaves from entering. A round brass plaque on the reads ROGERS & BRO. This encircles a hand holding lightning bolts. 10 ¾” (27.3 cm) tall x 9″ (22.9 cm) long x 5 12.7 cm diameter. Weighs 2 lb 4.5 oz (1035 g). There are no breaks or cracks. There is one slight dent above the “on” by the Boynton name. The teapot only hints at the silver as most of it has been polished off over time. A wonderful fun over the top teapot to add to many decors from shabby chic to industrial metal. We just ask that you notify us before returning and obtain our authorization. Victorian Rogers Smith Quadruple Plate 5 Bottle Cruet Castor Condiment Set. This is a Victorian Rogers Smith quadruple plate rotating cruet castor condiment set. A quadruple plate stand with an embossed leaf and floral pattern, measuring about 15.5″ tall, and 7.25″ in diameter. 2 glass bottles with stoppers featuring an etched grape leaf pattern. Each bottle measures about 9″ tall, and 2″ in diameter. One has a broken rim. 1 set of salt and pepper shakers with silver plate lids and an embossed arch-type pattern, measuring about 6.75″ and 7.25″ tall, and 2 in diameter. 1 glass bottle with the embossed arch-type pattern and a flip-top silver plate lid, measuring about 5.75″ tall, and 2.25″ in diameter. Victorian Silver Plated Tureen, Lidded Punch Bowl, Serveware, Barware, Ice Bucket marked with the Original WM A. Rogers by Oneida Ltd. Note the attention to the etched and ornate Scrollwork on the lid and all around. Made in the United Stated circa late 1960s. In amazing condition like shown in the pictures. The back is stamp signed with the makers mark and reads, Trade Mark 1883, FB Rogers Silver Co. Taunton Mass, Silver On Copper, 8208. This item is a large 20 Round FB Rogers Silver Co.

A fun, whimsical, detailed napkin ring of two dogs looking up at a parrot. The napkin ring is supported by base of acanthus leaves with two terrier dogs on each side looking up at a parrot on top of the ring. It still has some silver and has some shine. The mark on the base reads GUARANTEED BY ROGERS SMITH & CO. This writing is surrounded by a shield. The mark F/E is scratched on the base. 3 ½ (8.9 cm) tall x 3 ¼ (8.3 cm) wide x 1 ½ (3.8 cm) deep. Weighs 4.7 oz (135 g). There are no cracks or breaks. There is a small dent along the edge of the back of the ring. There are losses to the silver but it still shines up fairly well.
