1947 Roger’s Brothers silver plated silver ware set. Super nice set in my opinion Has all the pieces, plus 2 extra pieces in this set. The wood box is in great shape, very solid product. It’s not new but to be as old as it is it’s great. I’m old so stuff has to go or I would keep it. Sent several pictures the guarantee paper work and care instructions are still in the set. I can’t really say enough.

From 1878 to 1893 the mark was used in silverplate flatware by Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co under permission of William Rogers Jr. This mark continued to be used until 1976 in silverplated flatware and from 1938 to 1976 in hollowwareWilliam Rogers now known as Wm. Rogers was born in 1801 and died in 1873, and was an American silversmith who was a groundbreaking pioneer of the silverplate industry. Rogers’ designs were influenced by Louis XIV-style patterns of the 17th and 18th century in France, and he was best known for his Elberon pattern and “Presidential” cutlery series. Large scarce piece perfect statement of the quality manufacture during this period depicting an elongated body, domed lid, solid acanthus shaping the arms, handle, spout applied around the base and feet done with substantial mirrored plating excellent detail to the solid finals and cast arms original burner with wick in excellent unused conditions strong firm arms handle and hinge, Bakelite insulator rings the whole piece with splendid finish and outstanding attention to detail. I don’t know a lot about this stuff but I know there are add on pieces including ice cream spoons/sporks. There are eight big Spoons, 16 tablespoons, 13 teaspoons, two very big serving spoons, one small ladle, one sugar spoon, three grapefruit Spoons, six ice cream spoons, 12 forks, 12 knives, two meat forks. The site appears to have no major damage and I would say they are in good condition and would eat off of these pieces myself. It could use a polish and I apologize. I don’t have the time to do it. I did go through the pieces and took a quick visual and didn’t see anything like gouges or green spots. For usable and eating condition and being over 100 years old I think it’s pretty good!!! Up for sale is a group of 6 hollow handle Old French dinner knives made by Rogers / International. These knives are silver plate in the Charter Oak pattern. They measure 9 3/4 in length and are marked 1847 Rogers Bros. In looking them over we find them to be in good condition with beautiful darkness and nice luster. They have been hand polished to aid in inspection. All the surfaces have use and storage marks. On the blades are scratches, tiny dents, age spots and plate lift.
