Beautiful antique set of four Rogers, Lunt & Bowlen Co. Solid sterling silver butter spreaders in the elegant Treasure William & Mary pattern. Each piece is marked TREASURE, STERLING and PAT’D 1921. Rogers, Lunt & Bowlen was the predecessor to Lunt Silversmiths, making these desirable early American sterling flatware pieces. The William & Mary pattern features an elegant traditional design with detailed decorative borders and a classic period profile. Each spreader is additionally engraved with an ornate Gothic-style “F” monogram. 4 matching sterling silver butter spreaders. Length: approximately 5 3/4 each. Width: approximately 1 3/4 at widest point. Combined weight: approximately 110 grams. Individual weight: approximately 30 grams each, with minor variation. These are genuine solid sterling silver flat-handle spreaders, not silverplate. Very nice antique pre-owned condition. The pieces show surface scratches, light polishing marks and normal age-related wear consistent with previous use. No major damage observed. Decorative details remain well defined and the sterling presents beautifully. Light patina may remain in recessed areas, and the set may benefit from professional polishing depending on personal preference.
