Original Civil war era extraordinary piece in outstanding excellent condition, showing an impressive solid quality manufacture with gerous plating and outstanding attention to detail, strong handle, both bone insulators, firm sturdy hinge, original solid figural final and wing nut, weighted base, clean inside with some signs of wear and use still hold the original finish, white metal base perfectly safe for use, no denting, monogram, repairs or wear specks, minor nicks and light scratching, overall very bright finish, with moderate signs of wear and age, rich patina enhancing contours, embossed and castings. 11′ by 8 7/8, 2.8 lbs weight before packing, holding the early company’s mark. This is a super rare original1800′S antique figural napkin ring of an Eskimo riding on a sled. Seen on page 294 in Gottschalk & Whitson reference book. Plating is quite beautiful as it has been fully restored with plating showing only slight patina as seen in pictures. Where the sled curls at the front, there are tiny dents. I have not cleaned it. Antique sugar bowls with spoon holders. Look at those ocean-blue glass inserts! When it’s [framed] in beautiful silver.. WOW is the only word I can think of. I’ve owned these for a very long time. They could use a little more polishing… Can you see the shore birds on the legs? L antique silver plate is becoming VERY collectable! Hen you find it with good silver remaining, plus this beautiful BLUE glass!! It’s a home run. My sizing down will be such a win for the savvy collector… The condition: Glass is perfect: not even a nibble, no cracks. The frames are solid with no breaks or repairs.
