ROGERS HEAVY 19 Silver Plated Serving Tray. This is a magnificent piece and its in PERFECT condition with no dings, dents, pits, monogram or plate loss. The piece has just come back from the silversmith where it has been completely re-silvered. The piece is ready to go straight back into service. If you look at the picture that is towards the end of the piece showing the back side. It may look as if the item is dented. I assure you that it is not, it is just a glare in the picture that is all. The piece is properly marked on the reverse as you can see. The piece is quite heavy and is the type of silver plate that your grandmother would have had. This type of silver plate was made by hand and is not at all like the pieces that are made today by machine. You cannot find silver pieces like this anymore, only in antique store, auctions etc. Since this piece has been re-silvered you should never have to have it re-silvered again in your lifetime. You will be glad to pass this down to your children and to theirs. The piece lays flat and measures 18 3/4 inches. A fabulous piece to add to any collection or to give as a very fine gift! Antique VICTORIAN PICKLE CASTOR Rogers Smith #148 SilverPlate holder with Glass Insert. The pickle castor holder is an Antique Silverplate piece circa 1880 Original, aged condition.
