Vintage Silver Plate Victorian Revival 5-Piece Heritage Chafing Dish with Alcohol Burner. The 1847 Rogers Brothers vintage silver plate five-piece, impressively heavy, complete chafing dish from the still very popular Heritage pattern collection is in very good condition. This chafing dish was in production from 1953 to 1973, with pieces including the chafing dish stand, alcohol warmer, water dish, chafing dish with wooden handle, and domed lid. The Heritage collection in both flatware and hollowware is blooming with relief floral blossoms and flower buds in an ornate motif, reminiscent of the Victorian era. The stand’s legs and burner’s stem end are delightfully upscaled with the Heritage pattern’s themed motif. The set measures 11″ high to the dome lid’s finial and is 7″ high to the floral rim. From handle’s tip to the far rim it is 19″, is 11 1/2″ from rim to rim and the chafing dish has an 8 1/4″ diameter with a 2″ bowl depth. The alcohol burner is 5 in diameter. Alcohol Burner: Fill the lamp to half with denatured or ethyl alcohol (ethyl alcohol, ethanol or ethyl hydrate with an alcohol content of 90% or higher). Isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol with an alcohol content of 90% or higher can also be used. DO NOT USE OIL. This is not an oil burner. Cotton wicks are easily replaced.
