Magnolia / Inspiration By Roger & Bro IS, Original Rogers, Magnolia/Inspiration design. This is truly a beautiful set of mid century silverplate flatware. It is in very good condition and shows very little, if any, use.

This pattern was introduced in 1906 by Rogers Brothers, which became one of their premiere Art Nouveau patterns, a style in the 1890s-1910s that emphasized elements of nature. The details of this pattern are highly articulated on both front and back with oak leaves, branches, and acorns. Roger Brothers was renowned for their heavy and durable XS Triple silver plate flatware and holloware. See attached images of period Rogers Bros. This 7-piece hostess serving set is in very good antique condition with no bents, dents, or any damage, only wear commensurate with its century plus age. 1 Casserole Spoon (9″ long, 3″ bowl at widest). 1 Serving Soon (8.5 long). 1 Sauce/Gravy Ladle (7″ long, 2.5″ bowl at widest with light gold wash in bowl). 1 Sugar/Jam Spoon (6″ long, 1.75″ bowl at widest). 1 Master Butter Knife (7.25 long). 2 Meat Forks (8.5 long, 1.75 at widest). Rogers Brothers Silver dates back to the early 19th century. In 1847, the company became a household name when it became the first American firm to perfect and patent a process for electroplating silver. The Meriden Britannia Company bought Rogers Brothers Silver in 1862. Meriden, in turn, became the International Silver Company, a name it has carried since 1898. Genuine Rogers Smith & Co quadruple silverplate number 1924-6 Victorian era coffee service set. This seven piece coffee and tea set is very pretty. The pieces are marked by the maker with stamp, ROGERS SMITH & Co, MERIDEN Conn. 1924 ” while the tea pot is marked with the same maker, but has ” NEW HAVEN Conn. ” and “6″ in addition to “1924. ALL pieces are decorated in the ART NOUVEAU style with lovely FLOWERS and LEAVES both etched throughout the middle of each piece and cast in the finales of the lids. The four legs on every piece has faces of maidens with flowers in their braided hair. The coffee pot stands 13.5 tall to its finale (finale is missing) with in tree branches decorating the spout. The lid is hinged and open over the handle. The coffee picture has a missing the finale stem and a has scar on the neck as noted in condition section and visible in the pictures.
