Offered for sale is a beautiful antique jewelry casket by the Rogers Silverplate Company, manufactured in Danbury, Connecticut, an important center of American silver production in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This elegant casket features classic antique styling with ornate detailing, solid construction, and the refined presence collectors expect from Rogers silverplate. Originally intended for jewelry or small valuables, it also displays beautifully as a decorative antique. Origin: Danbury, Connecticut, USA. Material: Silverplate over metal. Shows normal silverplate wear and light plating loss in areas, adding to its authentic antique character. This casket has literally NO silver plate loss except a very tiny piece below the handle. It’s simply remarkable after 120 or so years. Hinges function properly, and the box opens and closes as it should. No major structural damage noted. Please review photos closely for exact condition. Wooden case is in good condition and solid. From an Iowa estate. The inside case felt has some small debris/crumbs and has not been thoroughly cleaned out. Original Rogers Silverplate certificate still in case. Generally very good condition, classy and ready for years of service to come!
