This pattern sets a lovely table for the holidays or any meal. There are NO monograms. Lovely raised flower pattern. Each piece has substantial weight to it and is designed for perfect balance. Pieces are backstamped 1847 Rogers Bros. Knife blades are marked stainless. I bought this at an estate sale and the couples daughter told me her parents got it in 1948. CONDITION: Flatware has normal usage with some slight scratches and would look great with a polishing. Ill leave the polishing to you since everyone seems to have their own favorite silver polish. Storage chest has wear on the outside with many scratches. The interior is still good and just needs a vacuuming to get out the dust. Piece: Set of 6 Dinner Plate Chargers #00412 Pattern: Ancestral (These plates are Silver Plated and were made by International to coordinate with the matching Ancestral flatware in this pattern) Maker: International – 1847 Rogers Bros. Circa 1924, so nearly 100 years old. Condition: Some light surface scuffing from storage and light utensil markings from use I took photos of each close up on top centers areas. The one that had sat on top of stack all these years had some tiny pinpoint/pinhead size plate loss speckles on top that other 5 plates don’t have. A couple have some more noticeable scratches on bottom-see photo. Othewise similar in condition, and no dents. A must have for the collector/owner of this pattern.
