Vintage 1847 Rogers Bros “First Love” 72-Piece Silverplate Flatware Set – Complete Grand Service for 8 with Carving Set, Demitasse Spoons & Original Silk-Lined Chest. “First Love” pattern by 1847 Rogers Bros (International Silver Company). First introduced in 1937, this Art Deco masterpiece is renowned for its delicate floral chasing and elegant, tapered silhouette. This is a true “Grand Service for 8, ” meticulously expanded far beyond a standard 52-piece set. It includes rare specialty items like a full carving set and a complete set of 8 after-dinner demitasse spoons, making it ready for full-scale formal entertaining. The dinner knives are standard style. Plating: EXCELLENT /Close to PRISTINE. There is absolutely NO plate loss, “heel wear, ” or silver cancer. The plating is bright, thick, and original. The 2 with minor scratches or the most ” used for serving” pieces are the master butter and the cold meat fork. And No monograms, pits, or disposal damage. The set looks as though a few pieces were used for service, but for the most part I don’t believe this set has ever seen it’s first service yet. Storage: Housed in its original deluxe 1847 Rogers Bros presentation chest. The interior features the authentic silk-lined lid with the Rogers Bros logo plaque and integrated dividers to keep the carving set and service pieces perfectly organized. 16 piece lot of silverplated DINNER FORKS, TABLESPOONS and BLUNT END KNIVES in the 1904 VINTAGE pattern by 1847 Rogers Bros. This pattern is also referred to as Vintage Grape. Good condition with no damage, no plate loss, no monogram with light use wear. The blades on the blunt end knives are silverplated (not stainless steel) and are in good condition: I found one small spot of bubbling plate (1/8, see last 2 photos for closeup). 5 Dinner forks 7.5. 5 Blunt end dinner knives 9.75. 6 Serving/tablespoons 8.25. VINTAGE ROGERS SMITH & CO MERIDEN THREE PIECE PEACOCK FEATHER REPOUSSE AESTHETIC QUADRUPLE PLATE TEA SERVICE SET. PLEASE REVIEW THE PHOTOS. THE TEA/COFFE POT HAS TWO AREAS WHERE THE PLATE HAS BEEN PUSHED IN, HIT OR DROPPED. THE OTHER TWO PIECES SHOW NO DINGES. THE PEACOCK FEATHER IS VERY UNIGUE AND COULD BE A RARE PATTERN. THERE WERE A LOT OF PEACOCK ART INTEREST IN THE EARLY 1900′S. THE SET WAS AN ESTATE FIND AND COULD FIND OUT NO OTHER INFORMATION REGARDING THE SET.
