NOS 1967 1847 Rogers Bros ESPERANTO Silverplate Flatware Service for 8 48 Pc Set
Oct 25, 2026

This is a complete 48-piece service for eight in 1847 Rogers Bros “Esperanto” silverplate, the pattern International Silver introduced in 1967. What makes it worth a look is that it was never used – nearly every piece is still sealed in the original factory anti-tarnish sleeve it left the plant in, and the knives are still rolled in their original tissue. This is one of several silverplate flatware sets I’m listing this week, so please take a look at my other listings. Eight five-piece place settings (40 pieces): dinner knife, dinner fork, salad fork, teaspoon and oval soup spoon. Eight serving pieces: large cake and pie server, gravy ladle, slotted serving spoon, sugar spoon, spreader, serving fork, and one large and one small serving spoon. 48 pieces in total, all one pattern. Original factory sleeves and tissue wraps included. Unused old new stock, still sleeved. Slight discoloration due to age on two pieces. Pierced serving spoon, in the bowl: slight discoloration due to age. One handle edge: slight discoloration due to age. Gravy ladle: the one piece out of its sleeve. Serving fork: an old shop price sticker is still attached. No monograms on any piece; no bends, dents or wear-through to the base metal. Not assessed: the surfaces still inside the opaque tissue wraps. Please see the photos and read the description for full details. Each piece is struck on the reverse of the stem 1847 ROGERS BROS. I S – 1847 Rogers Bros, International Silver. Esperanto is a 1967 pattern: a slim tapered handle with a stippled panel of raised scrollwork and nothing else, which is late-sixties design doing restraint. A full service for eight with the whole hostess group intact, unused, is how these sets were meant to arrive and almost never do. Thank you for looking – Pop’s Games.
