Silver Plate Rogers

A beautiful service for 8 of Oneida silver plate flatware. The pieces are in very good condition showing no wear. They have been stored away for years inside the tarnish resistant chest, which is included. The service was only used two or three times and only gently hand washed. They are ready to use… Nice and shiny and should not need any polishing before use, unless you would chose further polish. The pieces have such a shine currently that they were difficult to picture without glare. The service includes 8 each of serrated dinner knives, dinner forks, dessert or salad forks, oval bowl soup or cream spoons and there are 16 teaspoons. Currently offered is this vintage Rogers Bros “Starlight” pattern reinforced silverplate silverware circa 1953. A complete 5 piece service for 8 plus a sugar spoon and butter spreader. A total of 42 pieces. This silverware has a very nice attention to detail not only on the front but the back of each piece as well. Rogers invented and patented the reinforced silverplate meaning extra silver plating was given to the areas that usually wear thin over time like the backs of the spoons and fork tines. This is high quality silverplate. Overall condition is very good with some expected light scratches from occasional use. Not worn out like most sets I see. Plenty of life left.
