Each piece does need a deep cleaning but all pieces are in good shape with no plate loss or major scratches of any kind. The flatware chest does show some light markings and ware but only to the outside. For this reason, and the fact that many of my items are 50+ years old, my items show ware and other issues from age and use. They are NOT new or unused unless specified to be so.
