The listing is for a Victorian Civil War Era silver plate card receiver or tray, manufactured by the Rogers & Bros. Silver Company, Waterbury CT. By Rogers, Hamilton & White and in 1855 the company reorganized as Rogers & Bros, manufacturing silver pate hollow ware and flatware. The base of the card tray is marked with one of earlier of the Rogers & Bros. The tray features the cherub at the center of the tray surrounded by a floral and leaf design over a rippled tray and floral rim. Condition: The Rogers & Bros card receiver is in fine condition as shown in the pictures. The silver plate is shiny and bright and there are no monograms, dents, or visible repairs. There is only light wear to the silver plate. Size: The receiver stands 5.5 inches tall and measures 7.5 inches wide.
