Amazing large RARE Beveled Glass Vanity Mirror. Came out of the original WOOLWORTH Estate in Glencove, Long Island. Mirrors turn from top. Hooks (loops) in back to hang on wall. Antique Rogers Bros Silver Plate Co Male Blackamoor Frame and Mirror Danbury CT. Made to look like bronze but heavy heavy silver plated and marked by Rogers Bros Silver Plate Co out of Danbury Ct. Gardner mirror appears to be original to the piece. Original patina and never polished as far as I can tell. I would think this is probably Victorian time frame. Please see all the pix. Mirror will probably clean up a little better than photographed. 20 x11 when assembled. This listing is for a nice Art Deco Period Rogers hand mirror in the HERALDIC pattern, issued in 1916. This lovely mirror features a large elaborately embossed crest on front in high relief with swags of foliage with tassels hanging below. Fancy engraved monogram “R J G” in center of crest. The silver is in good condition, although there is some wear to the silver at left of swag and above top of crest and a couple of minor dings around the outside edge (see photos). No other noted flaws. Nice beveled mirror fits tightly in the frame and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Measures 11 1/4″ long with the mirror measuring 5 1/2″ wide at top and about 5″ at bottom and 5 1/2″ long. Weighs 8.0 ounces. The mirror is still very attractive and totally functional.
