There are TWELVE lovely silver plate forks for salad, dessert, or pastry in this offering. AVON pattern from 1901. Elegant scrolls and flourishes! Fancy embossing above the tines. About 6 1/4 long. Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a group of ten (10) ornately decorated silver plated forks made by Rogers & Bro. In the elaborate COLUMBIA pattern issued in 1898. These lovely forks were used for desserts or salads and would be great decorating a buffet table. Forks have a fancy single monogram “W” on front of handle. The Rogers & Bro. Of Waterbury CT beginning in 1858. They were one of the original founding companies that formed International Silver in 1898. Combined weight is 163 grams. These nice forks are in very good to excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws although they do reflect minor signs of normal wear. Please note that we have a group of ten (10) matching forks available listed separately. This is an exceptional Edwardian and beautiful service for 12 of stunning knives and forks with mother of pearl handles. The set was made in one of the biggest cutlery firm in Sheffield, England – Henry Rogers Sons & Co. The blades of the knives have a rounded form and the forks each have four tines/prongs. The blades of the knives and the forks are. The knives are marked with. Henry Rogers Sons & Co. Mark at one side and hallmark at the other. These pieces are in excellent condition for their age, only slight signs of use in the way of surface scratches. Please have in mind that the defects looks bigger when we used the magnifying camera lenses. The handles are glossy and were well taken care of over the years, no chips or damage. Included is the original case with original maker’s label. The knives are 7 1/2″ long, the forks are 5 7/8″ long. The set is in good condition without bend ends. It could have some scratches that are consistent with normal use. Please be aware that closeups exaggerate & amplify imperfections. The set is in a wooden box with red padding inside. The box is in very good antique condition with some minimal wear. Actual color may differ from the photo due to lighting conditions. Check out my other items. The item is marked 1847 Rogers Bros A1 And next to the A1 is a little stamp I cannot see. These are very delicate pieces theyre pretty fragile some of the prongs are a little bent as pictured. This would be no problem adjusting them. This is a extremely rare set please review all pictures prior to purchasing this set it is absolutely stunning. This set is over 100 years old highly sought after pattern with the best quality silver plate available. This could be thrown in the wash machine it is a little soiled as pictured.
