Antique sugar bowls with spoon holders. Look at those ocean-blue glass inserts! When it’s [framed] in beautiful silver.. WOW is the only word I can think of. I’ve owned these for a very long time. They could use a little more polishing… Can you see the shore birds on the legs? L antique silver plate is becoming VERY collectable! Hen you find it with good silver remaining, plus this beautiful BLUE glass!! It’s a home run. My sizing down will be such a win for the savvy collector… The condition: Glass is perfect: not even a nibble, no cracks. The frames are solid with no breaks or repairs. I think the silver is there, might have some loss, but minor. Overall in outstanding condition for 100+ years of age. It will arrive safely! This is a 1926 antique Victorian relish, caviar or sugar serving castor made by Rogers Silver Co. Pieces like this are hard to find! The bottom of the silver lid has Rogers Silver 1926. The castor features a stunning thumbprint blue glass insert. The silver plate, handled base has intricate designs throughout, from the shelled feet to the egret/stork adorned legs. The floral ivy decorated rim has notches for 12 spoons (not included). As can be seen in the pictures, this piece is in excellent condition for its age. As to be expected, there are a few tiny chips and flea bites on the rim of the insert, but they do not detract from the beauty of this piece, as the lid covers them. Some use similar pieces as covered sugars. So, whether you intend to use it for either relish or sugar or decide to simply display it, it’s sure to be a showstopper.
