1847 Roger’s Bros Ancestral Silver Plate Silverware Lot.

Piece: Set of 6 Bread or individual Cake plates #001624 Pattern: Ancestral (These plates are Silver Plated and were made by International to coordinate with the matching Ancestral flatware in this pattern) Maker: International – 1847 Rogers Bros. Circa 1924, so nearly 100 years old. Condition: Some light surface scuffing from storage and light utensil markings from use I took photos of each close up on top centers areas. The one that had sat on top of stack all these years had some tiny pinpoint/pinhead size plate loss speckles on top. A couple others have one or two pinpoint specks. Othewise similar in condition, and no dents. A must have for the collector/owner of this pattern. Check our other listings for the bread plates from this same estate too! NOTE: We have the matching bread/individual cake plates on our other listings as well from the same estate! Size: 6 1/2 across to rounded out area edge. Used as a bread plate or in the old days a “cake” biscuit or other bread was put on it. For modern days would work for dessert plate as well.

The 1847 Rogers Brothers antique silver plate 1924 Ancestral pattern is a beloved design, reminiscent of the elegant Victorian era. From an estate collection, the complete 84-piece with place settings for twelve plus twelve serving pieces is table-ready, in good antique condition with expected age-related scratches. Some oval soup spoons have resting marks on the spoon’s backs. The set is presented in a 1847 Rogers Brothers case. 12 Hollow Handle Dinner Knives. 12 Oval Soup Spoons. 1 Cold Meat Fork. 1 Master Butter Knife. 5 Solid Serving Spoons. This listing is for 38 pieces of 1847 Rogers Bros Silverplate in the “Ancestral” pattern. These pieces are in very nice condition. Includes: 8 dinner knives, 8 dinner forks, 8 oval soup spoons, 8 teaspoons, 4 large serving spoons, 1 butter knife and 1 meat fork. Please note: there are no salad forks.

Wonderful 4-Piece coffee service in the “Ancestral” pattern by Rogers Brothers. Pieces are silver plate hollowware and include the following. Tray #00593, Measuring 14.5″ by 10.5″. Coffee Pot #008606, 8.5 tall. Sugar Bowl & Lid #008608, 5.25 tall. Creamer #008609, 3.125 tall. The coffee pot, sugar and creamer have a monogram to one side, the other is blank. Pieces are in great condition for their age. The platter has a lot of surface scratching where the pieces rest. The creamer and sugar have a few small dings. Please see photos for details.

MEASURES 13.5 BY 11 BY A BIT OVER 4 INCHES. THIS REMINDS ME OF A PIRATES CHEST. LABEL ON THE BOTTOM READS: PIECES OF EIGHT……. LEATHER STRAPS WITH HINGE CLOSURE, GREEN AND GOLD IN TONE, THE GREEN PAINT WORN TO LOOK LIKE CAMOUFLAGE. THIS CHEST HAS JUST ENOUGH WEAR TO GIVE IT SUCH A GREAT EYE APPEAL, WHILE STILL BEING STURDY. ALL SIDES ARE COVERED IN WHAT COULD BE METAL DECOR. IT IS A WOOD CHEST WITH GREEN FELT INSIDE. A STICKER ON THE FELT READS 1847 ROGERS BROS. METAL HINGE WITH SLIDE LOCK IN FRONT. THIS WAS SOME SORT OF COMMERATIVE SET, THE PLAQUE ON THE TOP READS. SO DENVER CHAPTER 42. HONESTLY, I HAVE NEVER SEEN A FLATWARE CHEST LIKE THIS ONE.

1847 Rogers Bros Silverplate Flatware Set Ancestral Monogram G With Box 57 Pcs. Rogers pattern “Ancestral” monogrammed with G, in very good condition with no noted silver loss. All pieces have been washed and lightly buffed with polishing cloth and ready to use. Set includes: 12 dinner knives, 12 dinner forks, 12 salad forks, 12 teaspoons, 6 large serving spoons, 1 gravy ladle, 1 butter server, and 1 sugar spoon. Set also includes wood box, and set of flannel anti-tarnish cloth wrappers. Box has a few scratches on top surface otherwise it is in very good shape. Please see photos and zoom in for details. Ancestral was introduced by Rogers in 1924. This silverplate flatware is intended to use daily, life is short, use the good silverware!
