RARE ROGERS SMITH MERIDEN VICTORIAN FANS BUTTERFLY NAPKIN RING TOOTHPICK HOLDER. RARE Victorian napkin ring made circa 1880. Decorated with 2 fans highly decorated with leaves and birds, a butterfly supports the napkin ring. The ring has holes for the toothpicks. It stands over a plinth with four ball feet and decorated with friezes of flowers. Silverwork in very good general condition to its age and use, slightly bent at the baseHallmarked ROGERS SMITH & CO. MERIDEN CT QUADRUPLE & numbered 208. MEASUREMENTS: full 2 ¼ square to the base by about 3 high, weight 5.72 (159.6 grams).
