Silver Plate Rogers

AN AMERICAN SILVER-PLATED FIGURAL NAPKIN RING William Rogers Mfg. Hartford, Connecticut, circa 1875. HARTFORD CONN, QUADRUPLE, 244. 3.25 inches high, 7.2 ounces (gross) The napkin ring with Kate Greenaway-type girl facing a seated pug dog atop napkin holder, oval base with ball-feet. I believe the ring that the napkin slides through was once round and not oval and the inside is indented where the dogs front paws are. The finish is inconsistent in places. Please see the pictures. Antique Roger Smith & Co. The butter dish has a rare pattern of flowers and Maltese crosses. The lid lifts up and attaches to the top of the handle. 12″ H, 5.5″ diameter. It has signs of wear normal for its 150 years of age, including some wear and scratches. No serious issues detected.
