Coming in its own sturdy wooden box with a protective lining, the set has been well preserved over the years and only features minor signs of tarnishing (see photos). The box itself features various signs of wear and tear such as dings and scratches on its wooden surface, tarnishing of the handle, and fraying on the interior lining.
