Silver Plate Rogers

This pattern was first introduced ca 1891 and is a sought after, and hard to find, pattern. These dinner forks are NOT monogrammed and although used are in fine condition. The heel wear, if any, is minimal. Some reflect minimal amounts of plate loss, but it is minimal. There are the usual small dings and scratches that are commensurate for their age, but again are at a minimum. The forks are all approximately in the same condition and from the same set. The overall dimension is approximately 7-5/8 inches. It is that time! We have finally made the decision to downsize and over the next several months years, decades… Hopefully not that long! Will be listing several thousand textile pieces, sterling, jewelry, fine art, beautiful books, ecclesiastical items and all the accouterments that come with five generations of collectors (eccentrics) spanning the last two centuries! We are just getting started and are listing in the order things are coming out of the storage boxes, trunks, closets, attics, you name it. There are several hundred vestments dating from the 16th (that’s right 1500′s) to the late 1900′s, including ecclesiastical pieces, costumes, and antique clothing. Then, there are the bolts of fabrics, both antique and contemporary, thousands of applique’s, ornaments, etc, and that’s just the textile department! I have counted over 50 complete sets of china and nearly the same number of sets of sterling. Wait’til you see the jewellery and the silver!! This is a 57 piece (8 serving) 1960′s original Tarnish resisting silverplate flatware set from Wm Rogers Co. The silverplate flatware has an additional heavy over-all plate. It’s an extra or overlaid deposit of pure silver for greatest wear to ensure long service. Some light superficial scratches from light use but all pieces are in excellent condition. His silverware set was only used a few times. It comes in the original wooden table box with navy blue felt lining. Table box stands approx. Wooden Table Box with legs is complete, unbroken, has some light marks and is. Showing its age of (60 yrs) but is in very good condition for its age. The lining is in tact with no tears or stains, excellent condition.
