° Parisian Art Deco Tea Coffee Set Ravinet d’Enfert 1920s Roger Latouche Museum. By the french decorative Designer Georges Roger Latouche for Orfèvrerie Ravinet Denfert this set is referenced for ex. By the german Kunst- u. Gewerbemuseum in Hamburg (see picture). This wonderful set consists of a coffee pot (19,5 cm tall). A teapot (17,5 cm tall), a sugar bowl (13 cm tall) inner is gold plate and a milk jug (inner gold plated and 10,5 cm tall) and a serving tray (54,5 cm long) Each item has a rectangular foot and a conical, solid body with an ebony. Handle and a wide spout. The slightly bulging lids have square ebony. The height of the coffee pot is 20cm. The set is hallmarked with the Ravinet d`Enfert Mark. VERY RARE PIECE – THIS WAS DONE PRIOR TO FORMING THE COMPANY OF ROGERS BROS IN 1861. ITS AS OLD AS WILLIAM ROGERS GETS AND AT THE TIME IN 1857 HE WAS JOINTED BY GEORGE W SMITH. Its about 7 1/2 tall inc the handles THE PIECE IS EXCELLENT, SHOWING SEVERAL AREAS WHERE IT WAS HAND JOINED THE PIECES TO MAKE THIS. IT HAS ONE TINY PUSH IN ON THE BASE AND THAT CRACKED THE HEAVY PLATING ON THE BOTTOM RESULTING IN A SPOT OF CORROSION. NO POLISHING HAS BEEN DONE TO THIS ITS ORIGINAL TO US.
