Flatware is shiny and bright, minor tarnish, NO plate loss. Set includes: 2-Solid Serving Spoons, 12-Knives, 12-Dinner Forks, 12-Salad/Desert Forks, 12-Butter Spreaders and 12-Teaspoons. Wood box has scratch marks on the outside. The inside of the box is lined with a pale green felt. Ours is a Smoke and Pet Free Home.
