Beautiful set of fifteen (15) gently used silverplate hollow handled dessert or luncheon forks by 1847 Roger Bros. In the Vintage pattern, production beginning in 1904. Designed by International’s staff designer Samuel Stohr, the Vintage pattern quickly became one of the most popular silver plated patterns ever produced. The pattern was made from 1904 through 1918 and throughout this time the company continued to add items to the line. By 1916 there were over 100 different pieces available in this pattern, many pieces in very limited quantities that are highly sought today. Massive set of 1847 Vintage aka Grape. Back stamps 6, 9,12, XII, XS triple XS Quintuple, and a few A1. About 4 pcs with mono’s. Most show no heel wear, and are in exceptionally good condition. Many appear to have very little wear, there a few of the spoons and forks that show the start of heel wear or a tiny break through in plate. Most of the knifes are in great shape there are a few stragglers with minor pitting and plate issues. The Stainless blades are really nice, there are four blunt blades that are marked DWT16 exceptionally nice. Serious buyers viewing can be arranged. Lowball offers will result in you being blocked. You choose with or with out chests. And don’t play the item doesn’t match the description, this is vintage Silver Plate that is between 121-85 years old. THREE HAVE A MONO BUT IT BLENDS IN WITH THE TINDRILS ON THE GRAPE VINES. I HAVE 2 KINDS OF LUNCHEON FORKS LISTED. THE OTHER ONES ARE LIKE THE DINNER FORKS. THEY’RE HEAVY BUT NOT AS FANCY AS THESE. I SEE NO PLATE LOSS. THEY HAVE BEEN STORED WITH OTHER SILVERWARE.
MY PICTURES LOOK LIKE THEY ARE DISCOLORED OR CLOUDY BUT THEY ARE NOT. THEY ARE LIKE NEW. I NEVER TAKE CLEAR PICTURES OF ALL MY SILVER. EACH SPOON MEASURES APPROX. JUST VERY FEW SCUFFS FROM STORAGE. THEY ARE BRIGHT AND SHINY. I DON’T THINK THEY HAVE EVER BEEN USED.
