This antique SET OF 6 – 1847 Rogers Bros “Charter Oak” dinner knives were made in 1906. These silverplate knives feature a unique oak leaf design with acorns on a hollow handle, showcasing the Art Nouveau style popular during that era. The Charter Oak pattern adds a touch of quality and elegance to the table setting, making it a memorable dining experience for any guest.
Up for sale is a group of 6 hollow handle Old French dinner knives made by Rogers / International. These knives are silver plate in the Charter Oak pattern. They measure 9 3/4 in length and are marked 1847 Rogers Bros. In looking them over we find them to be in good condition with beautiful darkness and nice luster. They have been hand polished to aid in inspection. All the surfaces have use and storage marks. On the blades are scratches, tiny dents, age spots and plate lift. A pattern offered this time in a 12pC SPOONS LOT, an antique estate set ranging from good to excellent condition, with five gumbo spoons and the serving one, showing wear as shown, besides those, the rest show no plate loss, all with a smooth-to-the-touch butler finish, clean bowls, and priceless aged patina enhancing the pattern details, no monograms, the pieces included are as follow. 6 ROUND BWL SOUP SPOON -GUMBO- 7. 3 PLACE OVAL SOUP SPOON 7 1/4. 2 ROUNS BWL SOUP SPOON BOUILLON 5 3/8.
Items: Set of (10) Salad Forks. Pattern: Charter Oak (circa 1906 by International Silver under the 1847 Rogers line). Condition: Great for age. They all shine brightly with little to no tarnish and only light minor scratches from minimal use. Back sides on some have a minor amount of little plate thinning or plate loss. Size: 5.7/8 long. There are 6 hollow handle forks and 6 hollow handle knives. They have scratches and scuffs from normal use/handl ing/storage and no monograms. Please NOTE there is some plate loss on the edges of the knives and a small amount of plate loss on the backs of some of the forks.
