Rogers Silverplate Footed Butler’s Tray. Offered is an elegant and generously proportioned vintage silverplate butler’s tray by F. Rogers, one of America’s best-known makers of decorative silverplate serving pieces during the mid-20th century. Measuring an impressive 27½ inches long, this tray features an elaborate hand-engraved feather and scrolling foliate design framed by a beautifully shaped scalloped gallery. Decorative shell-form handles and four scrolling feet elevate the tray both visually and physically, making it equally suited for entertaining or display. Its substantial size makes it ideal for serving cocktails, coffee, tea, desserts, or displaying decanters and barware. It also works beautifully as a centerpiece, ottoman tray, vanity display, or decorative accent in traditional, English Country, French Country, or Hollywood Regency interiors. Unlike many silverplate trays that have seen heavy use, this example retains an exceptionally bright presentation with crisp engraved decoration that reflects light beautifully.
