Silver Plate Rogers

Beautiful vintage 1847 Rogers Bros. / International Silver “Remembrance” silverplate tea and coffee service, presented on the large coordinating #9898 waiter tray. This is an impressive traditional service with graceful silhouettes, ornate floral detailing, pedestal bases and beautifully shaped handles. The large tray features an elaborate engraved floral and scroll design that makes the entire set especially striking when displayed together. The set has been carefully polished and has a wonderful bright, reflective presentation. A beautiful statement piece for a dining room, buffet, holiday table, wedding or special occasion-and equally lovely displayed as vintage silver décor. Included in the set. Coffee pot with lid – #9801, approximately 8½ tall. Large handled waiter tray – #9898, approximately 23½” long × 16? ” wide. Pieces are from the discontinued Remembrance silverplate hollowware collection by International Silver / 1847 Rogers Bros. Very attractive vintage condition with a beautifully polished exterior. As expected with vintage silverplate, there are areas of light surface scratching, patina/tarnish, oxidation and signs of previous use, particularly on undersides and interiors. The creamer has interior discoloration/patina, as photographed. PLEASE NOTE: The coffee pot is missing the small hinge pin that secures the lid to the pot. The original lid is included and sits properly in position, but it is not currently attached. The hinge components are present. A close-up photograph is included so the condition can be clearly seen. The undersides retain some original tarnish/patina and have not been aggressively polished. Please examine all photographs carefully as they are considered part of the condition description.
