We are pleased to offer a lot of 4 beautiful silverplated hollow handle serving pieces in Assyrian Head from 1847 Rogers Bros. The design is ornate faces depicting Assyrian men and women; it was introduced in 1886. The handle features iconic faces along with the ornate pinwheel. 2 piece salad serving set, lightly gold washed tines and bowl, fork 10″ long, spoon 10 3/8″. Cheese scoop, all original, 9 1/2 long. Cake or pie server, bowl has winged sides, 10 3/4 long. A nice find for the serious collector; it is quite uncommon for so much of this particular pattern to surface, so don’t miss out! The extra large hollow handles are exceptionally well decorated and the pieces are extremely clean, crisp and detailed. There are no monograms, silver loss or shadows other than a couple of pinhead sized specks in the salad spoon bowl.
