Item: mid-20th Century wedding set of silver-plated 8-place flatware in own vintage wooden chest, still bright and beautiful! International Silver Company’s 1847 Rogers Bros. “First Love” pattern, with three server utensils in same pattern. Each place setting includes 5 utensils (dinner knife, dinner fork, salad/dessert fork, teaspoon, soup spoons) + 8 extra. The 3 server pieces include a sugar spoon, server veggie spoon, and pierced server spoon. 51 pieces in all plus the chest in natural solid maple or cherry wood. Size: 51 piece set, the chest is 17-3/8″ x 11-3/4″ x 3-7/8 and total weight is over 9 lbs. Dinner knives are “modern” size 9-1/4 long, hollow handles. Dinner forks are 7-3/4″ long w/ 5″ handles. Salad forks are 6-3/4. Soup spoons are 7″ (aka “round bowl” or “gumbo spoons). Serving table spoon is 8-1/2. Pierced serving spoon is 8-1/2. Sugar spoon is 6. Condition: very good to excellent with only minimal tarnish, minor surface wear from storing and moving. Chest has surface scratches and minor edge wear, but no obvious damage or abuse seen (still has inside labels looking fresh as before). Will be carefully packed, tracked and insured.
