Rogers Brothers Silver dates back to the early 19th century. In 1847, the company became a household name when it perfected a process for electroplating silver. The Rogers brothers used a process called electroplating to create fine pieces of silverplate and silverware that today are highly sought after. The wooden chest shows some wear on top and sides. The chest will look much better with some sanding and re-staining. Set is in very good antique condition; there are scratches consistent with use however no plate loss noted. A gorgeous set for any dining room!
