Absolutely stunning Rogers Smith & Co Victorian napkin ring with hand painted enamel bud vase for sale. Stamped with Rogers Smith & Co, Meriden, CT, Quadruple and the number 219. Gorgeous design with figural flowers, leaves and intricately etched around the outside of the ring itself. Probably dating between 1869 and 1893 based on the maker’s mark. Excellent condition with typical aged patina of the silverplate. There are some slight scratches and wear and the bud vase has a little chip along the top edge (see pic). 9.25 Pickle Castor with a Cranberry Coinspot art glass insert with an Enamel Daisy Decor and a Rogers Smith Silver-Plated frame. Very good condition for its age with some natural patina and light scratching to the base from age and use. In my opinion the frame is the only original piece and is the only one that is stamped. The glass insert fits in the tray but Is slightly too large and the tongs are not an exact match to the pattering on the frame. This is a very scarce and very beautiful example. The cranberry glass jar features 6 sides; 3 sides feature beautiful enamel floral design. The other 3 sides features embossed vine design. The lid is perfect featuring no breaks or chips. The silverplated holder is marked for F. The base is highly decorative with decorative handle. The base shows some residue from years old polish.
