1847 Rogers Bros COFFEE TEA service SET Silverplate HERITAGE. Very nice antique / vintage set. Was my Granny’s set. I have had it 30 years, but we are downsizing. It has only been used for decorative purpose during the time I have owned it, not sure how long my Granny had it. Beautiful floral pattern, very intricate & detailed. 6 piece set all in really beautiful condition except small flaws noted below. # 9401 Coffee Pot (11″ x 9.5″) – beautiful, except 1 small dimple (see photo with red arrow), missing tiny pin which goes inside hinge, but lid still fits nicely and if desired should be an easy fix (also see photos). # 9402 teapot – (8.5″ x 10.5″) – excellent. # 9403 sugar bowl with lid – (6″ x 6″) – excellent. # 9404 creamer – (6″ x 5″) – excellent. # 9405 extra bowl – candy dish? – (3.5″ x 4.5″). No major scratches on any of these pieces except the tray – very nice! All pieces embossed on the bottom with it’s # (9401, 9402, etc) and also reads “Heritage 1847 ROGERS BROS IS”. The I and S have a rectangle drawn around each letter with the embossing. Also includes matching Service Tray (including handles) 28″ x 17″ (not including handles 24″ x 17″). Back of tray has sticker “crafted in USA” and 1847 Rogers Bro. S America’s Finest Silverplate. All pieces could use some polishing. There are some surface scratches on the tray – see photos. This is an exceptional Edwardian and very beautiful service for six of stunning knives and forks with mother of pearl handles. The set was made by 1847 Rogers Bros. The mounts of the knives and the forks are sterling silver and are marked “Sterling”. The blades of the knives have a rounded form and the forks each have four tines/prongs. The knives are marked with. 1847 Rogers Bros Sterling Mounts. The mounts of the forks and the knives are. These pieces are in excellent condition for their age, only slight signs of use in the way of surface scratches. Please have in mind that the defects look bigger when we used the magnifying camera lenses. The handles are glossy and were well taken care of over the years, no chips or damage. The knives are 9 1/4″ long, the forks are 8 1/4″ long. The set is in good condition without bend ends. It could have some scratches that are consistent with normal use. Please be aware that closeups exaggerate & amplify imperfections. The box shows some wear. Actual color may differ from the photo due to lighting conditions. Check out my other items. 1847 Rogers Bros International Silver Forst Love Service For 12 95 Pieces. This beautiful Rogers Brothers set is 95 total pieces, and each item is monogrammed with the letter B. One of the knives seems to have the monogram too deeply engraved (as shown in fifth photo), but other than that that there is no damage to any of the other pieces that we can see. This item is in used condition. It shows normal surface wear related to age and use.
