More treasures from my Grandparents estate. This is Grandma’s Roger’s 1847 silver set. The box states it is a 74 piece set but you are purchasing 81 pieces of silverware. Grandma must have added some additional pieces throughout the years. Here is the inventory; 24 Teaspoons, 13 Salad/dessert forks, 13 Dinner Forks, 12 Soup Spoons, 12 Dinner Knives, 2 Large Serving Spoons, 1 Gravy Ladle, 1 Large Meat Fork, 1 Cranberry Server, 1 Sugar Shell, 1 Butter Knife. All pieces are in very nice to excellent condition, Many of them look like they were never used. Only one piece, a fork, has slight damage, it looks like the end was nicked by a garbage disposal. The chest is in excellent condition with only minor scratches, The original paper advertisement inserts are still there and you will even get the original sales receipt!! One of a Kind. Silverware / Flatware Case / Box. Designed by: Mierow’s Jewelry of Tacoma (Washington). This Box is Anti-Tarnish for Silver. Item is in excellent condition considering its age. There are a few scuffs marks and a minor indentation to the wood in the front. There are some yellow age spots on the inside white Fabric (nothing Crazy). Set includes 91 pieces plus wood chest. Chest is 16 1/2″ x 11″ x 4 1/4. Scratches on top, but it is good and solid. Inside needs to be cleaned/dusted. The 91 pieces of flatware are in nice condition; surface scratches consistent with use. I believe this pattern is from the 1940′s. This requires a big, heavy box.
