FB Rogers Silver on Copper was a silverware and silver plated company founded in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts in 1883. West, who incorporated the company and moved manufacturing operations to Taunton, Massachusetts in 1886. The company was known as the West Silver Company and made silverware for the William Rogers Manufacturing Company in Hartford, Connecticut. The company used many different grades over the years. One of them is a crown with the number 18 on the left and 83 on the right (for 1883). In 1955 it became a division of the National Silver Company. The kettle is big. Capacity 1 liter 300 ml. Floral ornament – handmade. Stamp on the bottom and number. In excellent condition after so many years! Definitely will be a decoration and a highlight of serving. Condition as on the photos. Antique Wm Rogers Silver Plated Coffee & Tea Service with Kettle & Warmer 7 Piece Set. Early 1900s Wm Rogers, seven pieces including a Kettle with Warmer, Coffee Pot (10 1/4″), Teapot (9 1/2″), Sugar Bowl with Cover, Creamer, Waste Bowl, and Silver plated Waiter (28 1/4″ x 16 3/8″). What an Exquisitely looking Coffee & Tea Set. Everything you need to impress the guests, or to have that Dreamy Tea party with your little girls dolls. What a fun idea. This set, are all matching, and in Excellent Condition. For something like this. Started business in 1865… The company produced silverplate carrying their name and in 1866 brought out a brand stamped Wm. In 1879, the firm consolidated with the Rogers Cutlery Co (started in 1871) and William H. Watrous, president of the cutlery company, was made president of the two branches. The company was primarily a maker of silverplated flatware but in the 1880s and 90s offered a fairly externsive line of plated hollowware. This was made by others in the area but trademarked and finished in their own factory. The operation was moved to Meriden in 1903 and took over the factory formerly occupied by C. When the [International Silver] Companys Flatware Center was built in 1968, the operation moved there and the old buildings were put up for sale. Very nice and large Silver/Silver Plate tea set. Markings on bottom of tray read. WM Rogers & Son. Other markings throughout the set say WM Rogers with an eagle symbol at the beginning and a star symbol at the end. Full set is about 30lbs. This is 11 separate pieces (should be 10 but one of the hinged lids is no longer connected). Very cool little burner with wick goes into base of stand for tea pot (I think). This was an anniversary present in the early 70s but I cant say if it was new or old at that time. Please see photos and ask any questions you may have. This is a seldom used Vintage F. Rogers 7pc Tea/Coffee Set which includes the highly sought after Tilting Kettle with Warmer Stand. Also included are the Creamer, Lidded Sugar Bowl and Waste Container and Large Butlers Tray. This set is in amazing condition. The inside of each piece looks as though they were rarely used. The wick on the warming burner looks like it might have been lit only once. All pieces are free of dents and major scratches. There is some minor tarnish. I have not cleaned these pieces. There are in the same condition in which they came to me. This set is pattern # 2391, except the tray. Pieces are marked F. The Tray is marked Wm Rogers.
