1st c1857 until they merged with Rogers & Bros. On August 12th, c1862. The design on the stand is the most unusual we have had and features a sea of coral surrounding a conch shell and sea weed on the base and the finish on the top of the stand resembles water with a crab in the center. The coral is so realistic you can almost imagine that it would be pink. We believe that there would have been a clear glass plate on the top which would allow the details on the top to be viewed through the glass. There are no monograms or visible repairs and the silver plate is lovely and over 140 years old. It stands about 7.5 inches tall and 9.5 inches wide measuring across the handles. The indention for holding a glass plate or the rim of the plate is 7 1/8 inches wide and the height of the lip is ABOUT 3/8 inches tall. Please ask questions or request additional pictures. This is a definitely a one of a kind and you wont find another.
