Silver Plate Rogers

BEAUTIFUL 71 piece Valley Rose Dinnerware / Flatware Set. Rogers by Oneida LTD Silver Plate in original box (1956). All in very good condition. Original box is falling apart, one side is completely detached. It has the contents of the set listed on one end of the box. There is a little bit of tarnish and there are signs of age and use. The green that you see on some of the silverware is only a reflection from the green walls in the room. There is no green on the silverware. Please see all pictures for details. This set is silver plated except for the blades of the dinner knives. The picture of the box includes one of the dinner knives so you can see that the knives have the word “STAINLESS” engraved on the blade if you look closely. Also included in the same picture is the back of another piece that shows the word “SECTIONAL” which is on the underside of each piece (except for the dinner knives). “SECTIONAL” refers to heavier plating on areas receiving heavier wear. 16 Teaspoons 8 Hollow Handle Dinner Knives – Mirror Stainless Streamline. 8 Dinner Forks 2 Table Spoons. 8 Oyster Forks 1 Sugar Spoon. 8 Salad Forks 1 Butter Knife. 8 Butter Spreaders 1 Gravy Ladle. 1 Cold Meat Fork 8 Oval Bowl Soup Spoons. 1 Pierced Dessert Server. Approximate Measurements are as Follows : Height: (Top of Lid Finial to Base Edge) is 16 Inches Width: (Outer Handle Edges Across) is 10 1/2 Inches. Depth/Diameter: (Widest Mid Body) is 6 Inches Front Spigot to Body Back is 8 1/2. (Inner Warmer Ring Diameter is 3 Inches). Liquid Capacity is 1 Quart. Weight of Set is 5 Pounds 9 Ounces. Much More Beautiful than these Photos Portray! Very Good to Excellent Vintage Condition! No Corrosion/Rust or Pitting! The interior is very clean, though there is some stain to the base, though can most possibly be scrubbed away (see photo #11) with a mild abrasive cleanser (as Bon Ami). The underside of this urn has yet to be polished, as the base area that shows the marker’s. Mark in photo #9, clearly displays some of the tarnish (this area is not visible unless upended). Light scuffs all around due to use and/or storage. Fully functional, spigot handle lowers 1/2 inch to and fro to release liquid flow. A small crack to the warmer holder ring though no sign of separation or is obvious. Do not place in dishwasher! As International rates are extremely high – sorry! Rogers Silverplate Punch Bowl Set With 19 Cups, Tray, Ladle, Dish. This is a beautiful set, heavy and pretty. There is some significant scuffing on the bottom of the bowl but it doesnt affect use.
