A great Mega set! Just in time for Christmas!! Very difficult to find this pattern in a set, or most pieces. One full set of Daffodil. Flatware consisting of 2 boxes, full of all you will need. The primary set has the original 52 piece set in its box with an added small carving set for 54 pieces. Would be a great wedding gift or any occasion. Adds elegance to any meal. This Mega set is in very good to excellent vintage condition with minor wear and scratching due to storage and use (see photos). This set was introduced in 1950, so in that regard, this set is in amazing condition. This price is reflective of the condition, rarity, and (lack of) availability of this pattern. Antique American Silver-plate Breakfast Set with 5 Pieces & 2 handled Tray Rogers Bros. My Grandmother loved the ceremony of serving a beautiful breakfast to her guests in their chambers in the morning. Her breakfasts were always served from a lovely silverplate service. She had many sets of different patterns and designs. While we still try to preserve this marvelous tradition in our own home, we thought we might pass along this idea & one of our sets to you & someone you care about. This is a lovely 5-piece Rogers Bros. Breakfast set in the Daffodil pattern. The pattern dates from mid-20. Century & is decorated with lovely daffodil flowers surrounding the coffee/tea pot, pitcher & sugar. The receptacles stand on 4 study feet adorned with daffodils. The tops of the coffee & sugar feature a daffodil garnish. The accompanying tray is highly ornate — the entire border surrounded with floral design. The handles are of shell motif & exquisite. The center of the tray is etched with a pattern of acanthus leaves. Coupled together, we think this breakfast set is a wonderful way to begin your day. We have paired it with a gorgeous 25-inch 2 handled tray decorated with swirling floral and acanthus designs. It is hallmarked on the bottom. Our set has been beautifully preserved. We have had this set polished and shined, and it is in excellent antique condition. It would certainly make a lovely gift or addition to your own home.
